Representation
Mike and Dave are enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service and use the designation “EA” (for “Enrolled Agent”) after their signatures to indicate this. Mike is a former revenue agent and Dave is licensed to practice before the United States Tax Court.
Audits and Notices
Dave and Mike can represent you before the Examinations Division of the IRS and before the Wisconsin Department of Revenue regarding audits of your income, sales, and payroll tax returns. We can also respond to notices about changes to your tax returns. Once the government is served with a power of attorney authorizing one of us to represent you, it should contact only us about the case. If we can’t get a satisfactory settlement from a revenue agent, then we might appeal to Examination Division management or the IRS Appeals Office. Finally, a petition to the United States Tax Court might be necessary. Dealing with the IRS can be a trying experience. Let us do it for you! Call or email us to arrange a free personal consultation at our office in Madison.
Delinquent Taxes and/or Tax Returns
Mike and Dave have years of experience representing delinquent taxpayers before the Collection Division of the IRS. Just as with audits, once the government is served with a power of attorney, it should contact only us about your case. With a little cooperation, we can end wage garnishments and prevent levies against your bank accounts. In some cases we might be able to eliminate penalties and reduce the original tax due. Appeals of Collection Division decisions might be available in the form of a Collection Due Process Hearing and then in a petition to the United States Tax Court. Let us negotiate the best settlement for you! Call or email us to arrange a free personal consultation at our office in Madison.
